Job Summary

end-to-end plant operations

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Manufacturing

  • Lead and manage complete plant operations including

    forging, machining, and heat treatment

    facilities
  • Ensure achievement of

    production targets

    , quality standards, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery
  • Drive adoption of

    modern manufacturing techniques

    such as Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and automation
  • Optimize

    capacity utilization, cycle time reduction, and productivity improvement

    across all processes

P&L & Cost Management

  • Own and manage

    Plant P&L

    , including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Monitor

    energy, consumables, tooling, and manpower costs

    ; implement cost-reduction initiatives
  • Improve overall

    EBITDA and plant profitability

    through operational excellence

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with

    automotive quality standards

    (IATF 16949, ISO, customer-specific requirements)
  • Drive

    zero-defect culture

    , process capability improvements, and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure adherence to

    EHS norms

    , statutory compliance, and workplace safety standards

Maintenance & Engineering

  • Oversee

    preventive and breakdown maintenance

    to maximize equipment uptime
  • Lead initiatives in

    low-cost automation

    , tooling development, and process optimization
  • Collaborate with engineering teams for

    new product development (NPD)

    and process industrialization

People & Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop

    production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams

  • Drive performance management, skill development, and succession planning
  • Foster a culture of

    discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with

    OEM customers

    , suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Participate in

    customer audits, reviews, and technical discussions

  • Support business development through capacity planning and operational readiness

Key Requirements & Qualifications

  • B.Tech / BE (Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy)

    preferred
  • 15+ years

    of experience in automotive manufacturing, with strong exposure to

    forging, machining, and heat treatment

  • Proven experience in

    plant operations leadership and P&L management

  • Strong knowledge of

    modern manufacturing systems and automation

  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to

    press forging / closed-die forging operations

  • Experience working with

    Tier-1 / Tier-2 automotive suppliers

  • Hands-on involvement in

    capacity expansion, plant setup, or greenfield projects
