General Manager Information Technology

As the Head of IT at Olam Agri in Lagos, Nigeria, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all information technology functions across the diverse network of manufacturing facilities. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing IT strategies aligned with manufacturing goals, managing IT infrastructure, leading enterprise systems optimization, ensuring cybersecurity, building and mentoring a high-performing IT team, overseeing budgets and vendor contracts, driving digital transformation, engaging stakeholders, and mitigating IT risks. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute IT roadmap aligned with manufacturing goals focusing on automation, analytics, and efficiency. - Manage IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud, and end-user systems across multiple sites. - Lead optimization and integration of ERP, MES, PLM, and CRM systems. - Implement robust security policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage cybersecurity. - Build and mentor a high-performing and innovative IT team. - Oversee IT budgets and vendor contracts to ensure cost-effective delivery. - Drive adoption of IoT, AI, and analytics to enhance manufacturing operations. - Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to deliver tech solutions. - Mitigate IT risks and maintain disaster recovery/business continuity plans. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or a related field. - 12+ years of experience in IT, including 7+ years in senior leadership roles within multi-site manufacturing environments. - Strong expertise in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365 in manufacturing settings. - Proficiency in IT infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data management. - Experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance. - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Proven track record in leading large-scale IT projects and transformations. - Willingness to travel frequently to manufacturing sites.
