About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to manage end-to-end operations on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) Portal, including RFQ, RFP, and bid management. The role involves ensuring compliance with GeM guidelines, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving successful participation in government tenders.
What You Will Do:
Manage day-to-day GeM portal operations, including product/service listing, catalog management, and order processing.
Handle RFQs, RFPs, BOQs, and bids on the GeM portal from identification to submission.
Prepare and upload all required documents such as technical specifications, compliance sheets, commercial quotes, and declarations.
Coordinate with internal teams (finance, legal, technical, sales) to ensure timely and accurate bid submissions.
Track bid status, clarifications, reverse auctions, and amendments on the GeM portal.
Ensure adherence to GeM policies, government procurement norms, and timelines.
Manage post-order activities including contract acceptance, invoicing, delivery timelines, and payment follow-ups.
Maintain records and MIS reports for bids submitted, won, and lost.
Act as the primary point of contact for GeM-related audits, queries, and escalations.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong hands-on experience with the GeM Portal
Thorough understanding of RFQ, RFP, RA (Reverse Auction), and BOQ processes
Excellent documentation and coordination skills
High attention to detail and compliance orientation
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic MIS reporting
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field
Certification or prior training in government procurement / GeM operations is an added advantage
Experience
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in GeM portal handling, government tenders, RFQs, and RFPs
Experience working with public sector clients or government institutions
