We are looking for a talented and experienced GCP BigQuery Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, with a strong focus on BigQuery. As a GCP BigQuery Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data warehousing and analytics solutions using BigQuery to support our organization's business objectives. **Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and implement data warehousing and analytics solutions using Google BigQuery as the primary data storage and processing platform. - Work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and data engineers to gather requirements and design scalable and efficient data models and schemas in BigQuery. - Implement data ingestion pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various source systems into BigQuery using GCP services such as Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Storage, and Data Transfer Service. - Optimize BigQuery performance and cost-effectiveness by designing partitioned tables, clustering tables, and optimizing SQL queries. - Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows using GCP tools and technologies to automate data processing and analytics tasks. - Implement data security and access controls in BigQuery to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and protect sensitive data. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate BigQuery with other GCP services and third-party tools to support advanced analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team and contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices development.
