Job Description

Job Purpose:The Garments Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring that all garments produced meet the company's quality standards and specifications. The role involves inspecting the entire production process, from raw materials to finished products, to guarantee the final product is of high quality and free from defects. Key Responsibilities:Quality Inspection: Conduct visual and manual inspections of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished garments. Verify garment specifications against customer requirements and standards. Inspect garment construction, stitching, color, size, and finishes to ensure adherence to quality standards. Testing and Evaluation: Perform physical testing (e.g., durability, shrinkage, color fastness, etc.) on sample garments. Ensure proper handling of garments and textiles during the production process to prevent defects. Document any issues or deviations from quality standards and work with the production team to resolve them. Monitoring Production Process: Monitor the garment production process for adherence to quality control procedures. Identify potential quality issues during production and suggest corrective actions. Inspect and verify the work of the production team to ensure compliance with quality standards. Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, testing, and corrective actions taken. Provide regular reports on the quality status of garments and production batches. Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly quality reports as required by the management. Defect Tracking & Analysis: Identify patterns in garment defects and work with the production team to eliminate recurring issues. Perform root-cause analysis for defects and propose preventive measures. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with design, production, and packing teams to ensure quality consistency. Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding material quality and defects. Assist in training production staff on quality control procedures and garment standards. Final Inspection: Ensure that the finished garments meet customer specifications and are ready for shipment. Supervise final inspection before packing and shipment to ensure products are free from defects.
