Garment Manufacturing Unit Head

Garment Manufacturing Centre is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Unit Head / Operations Manager to lead and manage our garment manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in textile production, operations management, and team leadership, ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee end-to-end garment production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Manage daily operations of the manufacturing unit, including planning, scheduling, and workforce management.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality control measures, and safety regulations.

Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production output and reduce operational costs.

Lead a team of supervisors, production staff, and technical personnel to enhance productivity and maintain high-quality standards.

Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and logistics teams to manage raw materials and supply chain processes.

Implement lean manufacturing and process improvement strategies for enhanced efficiency.

Handle budgeting and financial planning for the manufacturing unit.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in garment manufacturing / apparel industry with a proven track record in factory operations and management.

Strong knowledge of garment production processes, fabric technology, and quality control.

Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a large team.

Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement techniques is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
