Garment CAD & Sample Room Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • CAD Pattern Making:

  • Proficiently utilize Tukatech (TUKACAD)

    software for pattern creation, grading, and marker making.
  • Interpret design briefs and technical specifications to create accurate patterns that meet buyer requirements and fit standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Development (PD) team to translate design concepts into production-ready patterns.

  • Manage pattern revisions and updates based on sample feedback and fit sessions.
  • Sample Room Management:

  • Oversee the entire sample development process from first prototype to pre-production samples.

  • Lead and manage a team of sample makers, ensuring high-quality sample construction and adherence to specifications.
  • Develop and implement efficient sample room processes to optimize lead times and reduce waste.
  • Maintain detailed records of sample development, including approvals, comments, and revisions.
  • Liaison & Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the sample room and the internal Product Development (PD) team, ensuring seamless communication and understanding of requirements.

  • Effectively communicate with international apparel buyers regarding sample status, technical queries, and fit comments.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any sampling-related issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Quality & Efficiency:

  • Ensure all samples meet the highest quality standards and buyer specifications.

  • Implement best practices for pattern accuracy, fit consistency, and sample construction.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce sample development costs without compromising quality.
  • Product Expertise:

  • Demonstrated expertise in pattern making and sample development for casual shirts

    and

    semi-formal pants

    .
  • Stay updated on industry trends, fabric innovations, and garment construction techniques relevant to these product categories.

Qualifications:

  • Experience

    in garment CAD pattern making and sample room management within the apparel industry.
  • Mandatory hands-on proficiency with Tukatech (TUKACAD)

    .
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and grading principles.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience working with international apparel buyers is a significant advantage.
