Job Summary:

The Furniture Purchase Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing furniture, materials, and related products required for projects or company use. This role ensures cost efficiency, quality standards, and timely delivery while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable furniture suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with company policies.
• Source raw materials, furnishings, and fittings based on design and project requirements.
• Coordinate with the design, project, and accounts teams for material approvals and payment processing.
• Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
• Ensure materials meet quality and specification standards before final purchase.
• Track inventory levels and plan purchases to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Develop and maintain vendor databases and performance records.
• Stay updated with market trends, new furniture designs, and material innovations.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Good understanding of furniture materials, finishes, and accessories.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP/purchase management software.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Interior Design, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in furniture or interior material purchasing.
• Experience in handling vendor sourcing and rate negotiation.

Work Environment:

• Office-based with occasional field visits to supplier sites or factories.
• Coordination with internal project teams and external vendors.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
