Furniture Draftsman

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed shop drawings for loose furniture (chairs, tables, wardrobes, consoles, sofas, storage units, etc.) using AutoCAD.
• Prepare production-ready 2D drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and detailed joinery.
• Develop exploded views, hardware details, assembly drawings, and cutting lists.
• Coordinate with the design team to convert conceptual drawings into technical manufacturing drawings.
• Translate client and designer inputs into accurate technical drafts.
• Ensure drawings follow company standards and manufacturing capabilities.
• Work closely with the workshop team to clarify details and resolve design/technical issues.
• Prepare material specifications, finishes, edge details, and BOQ inputs where required.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from designers, clients, or production team.
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for every project.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting is a must).
• Strong knowledge of furniture construction, joinery techniques, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to create precise technical drawings with correct tolerances and detailing.
• Familiarity with materials such as wood, veneers, laminates, metal, upholstery, hardware fittings, etc.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with designers and workshop teams.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
• Experience with CNC-compatible drawing formats (optional).
• Knowledge of 3D tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, or SolidWorks (an added advantage).
• Experience in high-end custom/bespoke furniture projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
