Furniture Draftsman

As a Furniture Draftsman at Blue Loft, you will play a crucial role in creating precise technical drawings and plans for furniture production. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the designs you develop meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. You will collaborate closely with designers, architects, and engineers to understand design concepts and specifications. Additionally, you will be involved in developing detailed technical drawings and plans for furniture pieces, which will include floor plans, elevations, sections, and assembly drawings. Another key aspect of your role will be to assist in specifying appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for each furniture piece, taking into consideration cost-effectiveness and quality. You will also be responsible for revising and updating existing drawings based on engineering changes or client feedback. It will be imperative for you to ensure that all drawings comply with industry and company standards. You will need to maintain and organize CAD files and project documentation, as well as assist in site measurements and data collection as required. Furthermore, you will be expected to review drawings for accuracy and completeness before submission and coordinate effectively with other team members to meet project deadlines.
