Furniture Designer

As a Furniture Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative furniture pieces that blend functionality, aesthetics, and durability. Working closely with product, production, and marketing teams, you will bring unique designs to market in alignment with brand vision and customer needs. Key Responsibilities: - Conceptualise and design furniture collections based on market trends, brand identity, and customer preferences. - Create detailed drawings, 3D models, and prototypes using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and SolidWorks. - Select appropriate materials, finishes, and fabrics while considering cost, durability, and sustainability. - Collaborate with production teams to ensure design feasibility, quality, and timely execution. - Research global and local design trends, consumer insights, and competitor products for innovation. - Develop technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing. - Oversee prototype development, testing, and adjustments before mass production. - Provide inputs on product features and storytelling for launches in collaboration with marketing teams. - Ensure compliance with safety, ergonomics, and sustainability standards. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field. - Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Furniture Designer or in product design. - Proficiency in design tools: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite. - Strong knowledge of furniture construction, materials, and manufacturing processes. - Creativity with an eye for detail, form, and functionality. - Strong visualization and presentation skills. - Ability to balance innovation with cost-effectiveness. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
