Job Title: Junior Furniture Designer About the Role: We’re a young design startup looking for a Junior Furniture Designer to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to be part of an early-stage studio where your ideas and creativity can really shape our work. You’ll collaborate with our senior designer and manufacturer to develop and execute furniture concepts - from sketches to production - for a range of commercial projects. What You’ll Do: Design Support: Assist in developing furniture concepts, sketches, and 3D models. Technical Drawings: Prepare detailed shop drawings and specifications for production. Materials & Finishes: Research and propose materials, finishes, and hardware. Prototyping: Coordinate with workshops and vendors for samples and prototypes. Collaboration: Work with the design team, fabricators, and clients to ensure the design intent comes through. Quality Check: Support production by reviewing quality, detailing, and finish. Documentation: Maintain drawings, mood boards, and design updates for ongoing projects. Who You Are: Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s in Furniture Design, Product Design, or Interior Design. Experience: 0–2 years (internship or fresher experience welcome). Tech Skills: Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, V-Ray, and Photoshop. Design Sense: Strong eye for materials, proportions, and usability. Detail-Oriented: Precise with drawings and documentation. Collaborative: Open to feedback and eager to learn. Communication: Comfortable coordinating with teams and vendors. Work timings have some flexibility - some days can be work-from-home, while others will be in-office.
