Furniture Designer

Key Responsibilities:

Interact with customers to understand furniture requirements and provide design solutions
Create detailed
2D/3D design drawings
using AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.
Design and detail
custom wooden and carved furniture pieces
Coordinate with
production and manufacturing teams
to monitor the build progress
Conduct regular
on-site follow-ups
to ensure designs are being implemented correctly
Recommend wood types, materials, and finishes (e.g., Sheesham, Teak, Mango)
Modify drawings based on feedback and ensure alignment with customer expectations
Maintain documentation of changes, progress updates, and client communications

Requirements:

1–3 years of hands-on experience in
furniture design and site coordination
Strong knowledge of
wood types
and carved furniture detailing
Proficiency in
AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max
, or equivalent software
Prior experience coordinating with manufacturing/carpentry teams is essential
Strong communication and client-interaction skills

Education:

Diploma or Degree in Furniture Design / Interior Design / Product Design
