The Raj Company is one of the world&aposs leading sources of fine custom furniture. We also have an extensive collection of antique and colonial furniture. We work with interior designers and clients across the globe to create high quality, hand-made wooden furniture in various styles. The Furniture Designer will be a core part of our team and will need to be working full-time in our office in Mahalaxmi, Mumbai. We are looking for: A passionate and capable furniture designer, with 2-3 years of experience in the field of furniture and interiors. The candidate should be confident in managing operations, tracking orders through vendor management, willing to take initiative and handle management of furniture production projects from start to finish. Ability to work on CAD furniture drawings would be a desirable added skill. Responsibilities Contributing to design and discussion for creation of custom furniture and new collections Collaborating with craftsmen to ensure proper execution and innovate new ideas Working on a timeline to ensure completion of projects and active tracking of deliverables Managing the order book and handling quality check assurance Co-ordinating with concerned stakeholders and keep the management informed by submitting status reports Desired but not necessary - Proficient in AUTOCAD to create 2D furniture drawings Qualities Technical knowledge of furniture making and inspection of items Team player Stakeholder management Hard working and able to multitask Good communication skills Creative interest in furniture design Confident and willing to take initiative Show more Show less
