Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled FTTH Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic connections at customer premises. The technician will be responsible for ensuring reliable and high-speed internet service through efficient fiber installation and on-site support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure FTTH equipment such as Optical Network Terminals (ONTs), routers, and splitters at customer premises
• Route and terminate fiber optic cables (indoor/outdoor) as per installation guidelines
• Perform splicing, testing, and signal strength verification using OTDR, splicing machines, and power meters
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility checks before installation
• Ensure quality and safety compliance during all field operations
• Educate customers on system usage and basic troubleshooting
• Respond to fault calls and service issues, diagnose problems, and restore services
• Maintain accurate installation and service records through mobile apps or field reports
• Coordinate with backend/NOC teams for activation and service verification

Requirements:

• Education: ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related fields
• Experience: 1–3 years in FTTH installation, fiber splicing, or telecom fieldwork
• Technical Skills:
• Fiber cable handling, splicing, and OTDR testing
• Configuration of routers/ONTs/WiFi devices
• Understanding of PON technology (GPON/EPON)
• Other Requirements:
• Two-wheeler with license preferred
• Must own a smartphone for reporting and communication
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends if required
