FSSAI Approved Food Analyst

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical, microbiological, and instrumental analysis of food products in accordance with FSSAI standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct detailed

    Food Proximate Analysis

    , including moisture, ash, protein, fat, fiber, carbohydrate, and energy values.
  • Carry out method development, validation, and verification for new and existing analytical test methods.
  • Ensure accuracy, reliability, and traceability of test data with proper documentation as per ISO/IEC 17025 and FSSAI requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of

    Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

    , occupational health & safety, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments such as

    HPLC, GC-MS, ICP-OES

    , and other analytical equipment.
  • Participate in internal audits, external audits, NABL assessments, and proficiency testing programs.
  • Identify non-conformities, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with management and technical teams to enhance laboratory efficiency, innovation, and compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Mandatory:

    FSSAI Approved Food Analyst certification.
  • Educational Qualification:

    • Masters Degree in Chemistry (Analytical / Organic / Inorganic), or
    • B.Tech in Food Technology, or
    • Any equivalent degree with specialization in Food Technology.
  • Minimum

    5 years of relevant experience

    in a

    NABL-accredited food testing laboratory

    .
  • Proven expertise in

    Food Proximate Analysis

    and handling advanced analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC-MS, and ICP-OES.
  • Strong working knowledge of

    FSSAI regulations

    ,

    ISO/IEC 17025

    , and food safety standards.
  • Demonstrated ability in accurate analysis, data interpretation, documentation, and laboratory problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
