Job Summary

The Front Office Executive is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by managing front desk operations efficiently. The role involves handling guest check-ins and check-outs, reservations, inquiries, and ensuring a pleasant and seamless guest experience throughout their stay.

Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesGuest Services

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and service standards

Front Desk Operations

  • Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications
  • Ensure correct room allocation as per reservations and guest preferences
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure room readiness
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, billing, and folio settlements accurately

Communication & Coordination

  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments for guest requirements
  • Maintain clear communication during shift handovers
  • Report guest feedback and operational issues to supervisors

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain guest records and update information in the property management system (PMS)
  • Prepare daily reports, occupancy reports, and shift summaries
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and security standards

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow hotel safety, hygiene, and security guidelines
  • Verify guest identification and comply with local regulations
  • Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with hotel PMS software
  • Problem-solving and multitasking abilities
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in hotel front office operations (freshers may apply for junior roles)
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage

Working Conditions

  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
