As a FP&A Senior Cost Engineer at bp, you will be a key partner to the Oil & Gas Management team, focusing on delivering cost & capex management services for the businesses. Your responsibilities will include: - Business Partnering: - Supporting Budget Responsible Officers (BROs) in preparing monthly Value of Work Done (VOWD) for project and cost centre scopes - Leading the creation, documentation, validation, and approval of Authority for Expenditure (AFE) as required by asset-specific joint operating agreements - Operational: - Monitoring Purchase Orders (POs) associated with project scopes - Providing support to BROs with invoice resolution through collaboration with SAP specialists - Technical Lead: - Providing Super-User support for the Cost Management Tool (CMT), maintaining master data and cost data mapping - Performance Management and Reporting: - Collaborating with BROs to develop plans, budgets, and forecasts - Applying technology to develop monthly cost performance analyses - Leading cost performance processes with regionally deployed BROs - Supporting and collaborating with various teams in analyzing metrics and key performance indicators - Continuous Improvement: - Continuously improving cost-related systems and processes to increase automation and move towards increasing the self-service model Qualifications required for this role include: - Must have an Engineering Field Degree level or equivalent - Preferred Education/certifications include Masters Degree in a finance field - Minimum 5 years of relevant post-degree experience in a cost engineer role - Experience within global, complex and matrix organizations in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting You will be working with a team of finance professionals as part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) organization.
