Job Title: Food & Beverage Captain
Department: Food & Beverage Service
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Assistant Manager
Location: Powai/Andheri West/Lower Parel

Job Summary:

The Food & Beverage Captain is responsible for supervising the service team and ensuring excellent guest experiences in a Fine Dine Pan Asian dining environment. This role involves leading the service staff, managing order processes, ensuring food quality and presentation standards, and handling guest queries with professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service:
  • Greet guests warmly and ensure a memorable dining experience.
  • Assist guests with menu selections, providing detailed knowledge of Pan Asian cuisine.
  • Handle guest complaints or queries promptly and courteously.
  • Team Supervision:
  • Supervise and guide servers, stewards, and runners during service.
  • Ensure staff follows restaurant service standards and SOPs.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings, assign tables, and monitor workflow.
  • Order Management:
  • Take and process orders accurately in coordination with the kitchen and bar.
  • Ensure timely and correct delivery of food and beverages to guests.
  • Monitor and maintain table service flow, clearing, and resetting tables efficiently.
  • Service Standards & Hygiene:
  • Ensure that the dining area is clean, presentable, and properly set up.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service.
  • Ensure that all condiments, cutlery, and service tools are well-stocked.
  • Sales & Upselling:
  • Recommend special dishes and beverages to enhance sales.
  • Promote restaurant promotions, signature dishes, and loyalty programs.
  • Reporting & Coordination:
  • Provide daily service reports to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth operations.
  • Train new team members on service procedures and product knowledge.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a Pan Asian or fine-dining restaurant.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Asian cuisine and beverages is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality service.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Internship, Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
