We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Head to lead our FMCG sales operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for formulating and executing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, leading a high-performance sales team, and expanding market share across regions. This role requires deep industry knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of sales success in the FMCG sector.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with business goals.
Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met or exceeded.
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform strategic decisions.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of regional sales managers and executives.
Set individual and team KPIs, track performance, and ensure accountability.
Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team.
Identify new markets, channels, and customer segments for business growth.
Strengthen relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
Develop and optimize distribution and channel strategies (GT/MT/eCommerce).
Monitor pricing strategies, discounts, and promotional activities to ensure profitability.
Work closely with finance and supply chain to manage margins, inventory, and logistics.
Provide regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and business opportunities.
Use data-driven insights to refine sales approaches and marketing initiatives.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
10+ years of progressive sales experience in the FMCG industry, with at least 35 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of modern and general trade, distribution networks, and retail dynamics.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to drive sales growth and manage large teams across geographies.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in CRM tools, Excel, and sales reporting platforms.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in launching new products or entering new markets.
Familiarity with digital/e-commerce channels in FMCG.
Adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
Strong network within the industry.
