Floor Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

• Staff supervision:

  A floor manager trains, coaches, and supervises entry-level employees, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and creating work schedules.

• Customer service:

  They are the first point of contact for customer complaints and complex requests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

• Inventory management:

  They monitor stock levels, coordinate restocking, and manage visual merchandising to ensure products are adequately displayed.

• Operational oversight:

  They enforce company policies, health and safety regulations, and cleanliness standards. They also oversee daily opening and closing procedures.

• Problem-solving:

  They identify issues on the floor and implement quick, effective solutions to prevent disruptions.

• Reporting:

  They report on daily operations, sales performance, and staffing issues to senior management.
