Fitter Technician

1. Routine & Preventive Maintenance·                     Conduct scheduled maintenance on machinery such as corrugators, reel stands, cutters, slotters, and printers. Perform lubrication, adjustment, and inspection of components like bearings, belts, gears, chains, and pulleys. 2. Breakdown Maintenance·                     Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues during equipment failure. Take quick corrective actions to reduce machine downtime. 3. Installation & Commissioning·                     Support in installation, alignment, and testing of new equipment. Modify or fabricate mechanical parts using tools such as grinders, welders, and cutting instruments. 4. Daily Monitoring·                     Monitor key systems like compressors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulics. Keep daily log reports and escalate abnormalities to the maintenance head. 5. Tool & Spare Management·                     Ensure availability and proper handling of tools and spares. Maintain records of part replacements and consumption. 6. Safety & Housekeeping·                     Follow mechanical safety protocols (e.g., Lockout-Tagout). Keep work areas around machines clean and hazard-free. 7. Documentation·                     Maintain maintenance records, service logs, and breakdown histories. Submit daily reports to the Maintenance Supervisor or Head. Skills ·        Sound knowledge of mechanical systems (bearings, couplings, belts, hydraulics, pneumatics). ·        Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals. ·        Skilled in fabrication, welding, and tool handling. ·        Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. ·        Experience with corrugation industry machinery preferred. ·        Strong familiarity with machines such as corrugators, reel stands, slotters, printers, and auto stackers.
