Job Title: Senior Fitter in Maintenance

Experience: 7–8 Years

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment, machinery, and utilities.
• Carry out fitting, alignment, assembly, dismantling, and re-installation of machine parts.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems in pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors, fans, and other rotating equipment.
• Ensure proper lubrication, tightening, and replacement of worn-out parts to reduce downtime.
• Work on welding, grinding, drilling, and fabrication as required for maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, sketches, and manuals for repair work.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and spare parts usage.
• Adhere to safety standards and ensure safe working practices during maintenance tasks.
• Support production and utility teams to achieve smooth operations.
• Provide guidance to junior fitters and helpers when required.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical fitting, alignment, and assembly techniques.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial machinery.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Good problem-solving and team coordination skills.
• Awareness of safety standards and practices in maintenance work.

Qualification:

ITI in Fitter Trade / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
