Job Description

1. Role Overview

The Finishing Supervisor will oversee and ensure high-quality execution of all finishing activities post-RCC stage, including blockwork, plastering, flooring, carpentry, painting, plumbing finishing, electrical finishing, and snag rectification. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple trades to achieve timely and quality completion of units and blocks.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Execution & Quality Control

  • Supervise and monitor day-to-day finishing work as per drawings, specifications, and BOQ.
  • Ensure workmanship meets company’s zero-tolerance quality standards.
  • Check line, level, plumb, elevation, and finishing accuracy for all activities.
  • Verify material quality before use (tiles, paint, hardware, electrical items, plumbing fixtures, doors, etc.).
  • Ensure proper curing, protection of finished surfaces, and clean site conditions.

B. Finishing Activity Supervision

Oversee the following works:

  • Blockwork & internal wall finishing
  • Internal & external plaster
  • Flooring (tiles, skirting, stone work)
  • Bathroom & kitchen tiling
  • Painting (putty, primer, texture, final coats)
  • Door frames, shutters, and carpentry fittings
  • Plumbing finishing (CP fittings, sanitary fixtures, drainage testing)
  • Electrical finishing (switches, boards, lights, DB hookup)
  • False ceiling, railing, balcony finishing
  • Modular accessories & last-mile installations

C. Coordination

  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and painters.
  • Align daily manpower as per work priority and unit delivery targets.
  • Work closely with CRM for customer-specific requirements and pre-handover issues.
  • Follow sequence of work to avoid rework and delays.

D. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain daily progress reports (DPR) for each activity and unit.
  • Track material consumption and highlight shortages in advance.
  • Record snag lists and ensure timely closure.
  • Assist in preparing work checklists before internal QC inspections.

E. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all workers follow safety protocols at site.
  • Prevent unsafe practices during plastering, grinding, cutting, electrical and tiling work.
  • Ensure RERA compliance with respect to quality and materials used.

F. Handover Preparation

  • Ensure completion of all finishing tasks for sample flats and customer units.
  • Conduct internal QC audits before CRM inspections.
  • Close all snagging points before final possession.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of flats for handover.

3. Skills & Competencies Required

  • Strong knowledge of finishing materials, methods, and quality standards.
  • Ability to identify defects quickly and ensure rectification.
  • Excellent coordination and team management skills.
  • Strict discipline and time-management approach.
  • Ability to read and understand execution drawings.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

4. Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma / ITI in Civil Engineering (preferred) or relevant technical background.
  • 3–10 years of experience in finishing supervision for residential projects.
  • Experience in township or multi-tower projects is an added advantage.

5. Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: Site Engineer / Project Manager
  • Coordinates with: Contractors, Store, CRM, Quality Team, Safety Team

6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Quality of finishing delivered
  • Number of snags and time taken to close
  • Timely completion of units/block finishing
  • Adherence to specifications and checklists
  • Reduction in rework and material wastage
  • Customer satisfaction on final handover

7. Ethical & Professional Expectations

  • No compromise on quality, safety, and responsible material usage.
  • Transparent reporting and honest documentation.
  • Zero tolerance for negligence, shortcuts, or misuse of labour/material.
  • Professional behavior with workers, contractors, and customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
