Overview:

The role holder plays dual role in terms of Financial Planning & Analysis and also leads the Account Receivables Order to Cash team.

FP&A

The role holder provides critical insights and analytical support to the Finance and Sales teams to drive revenue growth and optimize sales performance. This role analyses the sales data and supports the formulation of actionable business recommendations. The goal is to leverage advanced financial analysis, market trends, and sales performance metrics to identify opportunities for increased profitability, streamline sales operations, and enhance decision-making processes.

AR (O2C)

The role holder manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of the order-to-cash (OTC) process. This involves ensuring smooth execution from order placement to final payment collection, maintaining effective systems for billing and receivables management, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and statutory regulations. The role aims to improve cash flow and minimize risk by streamlining processes and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of each step in the OTC process.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure alignment with financial goals, provide accurate financial data, and report key performance indicators for decision-making.
  • Oversee the efficiency of OTC operations, maintain robust financial controls, and provide guidance on best practices in accounting processes. Provide timely and accurate financial reports and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Offer insights into cash flow, receivables, and billing processes to support business operations and revenue generation.
  • Provide actionable insights and data to aid in strategic planning and sales performance management.
  • Ensure smooth integration of financial systems and ERP for seamless processing of financial transactions and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, manage banking relationships, and comply with financial regulations.
  • Ensure smooth auditing processes, maintain transparency, and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, filings, and support audits.
  • Provide accurate financial data to aid in investment decisions and market analysis.
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and timely reconciliation of accounts.
  • Ensure the team adheres to all statutory regulations, ensuring timely filing of returns, compliance with accounting standards, and audits.
  • Manage the preparation of accurate and insightful financial reports, ensuring that MIS reports are delivered in a timely manner and support key decision-making.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to mitigate risks, safeguard company assets, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Oversee cash flow management, ensuring the team maintains liquidity for operations and efficient working capital management.
  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, implementing improvements to increase the effectiveness of the OTC operations.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments (Sales, Operations, IT) to ensure that accounting processes align with overall business needs and support growth initiatives.
  • Implement and monitor the use of ERP systems to streamline daily accounting processes. Introduce automation tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure that the team is kept updated on regulatory changes, using automated tools and continuous training to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Develop standardized financial reporting templates and dashboards for quick access to accurate financial data, facilitating decision-making using PowerBI, Account Receivables MIS tool etc.
  • Regularly review internal controls, conduct audits, and identify potential risks within processes. Implement corrective actions to mitigate any risks.
  • Introduce best practices for managing working capital, optimize accounts payable/receivable processes, and forecast cash flow to align with operational needs.
  • Identify inefficiencies in the OTC operations and introduce process automation tools or best practices to improve workflow.
  • Foster strong relationships with other departments (Sales, Operations, IT) to facilitate smooth communication, resolve issues, and streamline processes.

Desired Qualification:

  • CA / MBA with Finance.
  • 5-9 years of experience in managing OTC operations and leading teams, with expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
