Job Description

Job Summary:

The Finance manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, processing of invoices and credit card expenses, and preparation of management information reports. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to analyse financial data to support effective business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and maintain

    balance sheet reconciliations

    on a periodic basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  2. Create and process

    vendor and customer invoices

    in a timely and accurate manner.
  3. Maintain and update

    financial working trackers

    to ensure all transactions are recorded and traceable.
  4. Manage the

    weekly processing of invoices

    and ensure timely follow-up for any missing or pending documentation.
  5. Verify

    invoices against approved budgets

    and ensure all necessary authorizations are obtained.
  6. Process

    weekly credit card expenses

    , validate transactions against supporting documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  7. Assign appropriate

    accounting codes and cost verticals

    to all credit card and other financial transactions.
  8. Perform

    variance analysis

    by comparing actual versus budgeted operating expenses and provide explanations for significant deviations.
  9. Monitor financial trends

    , identify anomalies, and recommend corrective or optimization measures to improve financial efficiency.
  10. Prepare and present

    weekly financial reports

    and analysis to senior management for decision-making.
  11. Prepare

    gross and net MIS reports

    across all verticals, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
  12. Utilize

    Xero accounting software

    or other financial tools to record, track, and report financial transactions (knowledge of Xero is an advantage).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education:

    Chartered Accountant (CA) or a

    Bachelors/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce

    .
  • Experience:

    Five plus

    years of prior experience in accounting, creation of MIS, financial analysis or management reporting preferred.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in

      MS Excel

      and financial reporting tools.
    • Working knowledge of

      Xero

      or similar accounting software is an advantage.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Effective communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
