Job Description


  • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Finance or Financial Controller who will report into a part time CFO and the directors.
  • This role will have 3-5 reports. This person will play a pivotal role in helping the CFO in improving the Finance team and the back-office platform (comprising the processes, systems and people) to bring necessary efficiencies and improve the service levels to the front office sales teams as well as the clients and candidates.

  • This person will also play a lead role in supporting the implementation of a new global payroll and billing system.

  • The person must have international contract recruitment experience.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing, developing and supporting the Finance team based in India with proper allocation of roles into the Accounts, Payroll & Billing, Credit Control, AP, FP&A and other..

  • Accurate and timely month end reporting process, including P&L, Balance Sheet and variance analysis Automation of current mundane tasks and sheets.

  • Cash flow forecasting including daily cash management across the global operations, periodic cash flow modelling with focused working capital management.

  • Responsible for treasury and invoice discounting facility with the groups international banks Managing Foreign Exchange risk Budget preparation and forecasting.

  • Lead the accounts preparation and other compliance processes for the UK, UAE, Canada and other global entities.

  • Responsible for HMRC and international tax reporting requirements Work with international advisors for compliance and tax.

  • Assisting the CFO in preparing the board pack and other reports for the board Build good working relationship with the internal operations teams, external advisors and the banks.

Person specification:

  • Previous few years finance lead experience with International contract recruitment businesses (mainly in the USA market) is must Qualified or part qualified ACCA/CA/ CPA/ CIMA.

  • Experience of leading various parts of Finance including but not limited to Management Accounts, Payroll & Billing, multiple currency environment, Cash flow optimisation.

  • Experience of working in global groups and can understand the compliance needs for various countries like UK, USA, Canada, Israel, UAE, Singapore, Germany etc.

  • A technically strong, commercially astute professional with excellent communication skills A proactive, self-starter who can work under pressure and deliver on the deadlines.

  • Good at pay and bill systems with strong IT/excel skills.

  • Strong reporting skills, analytical minded with attention to detail Ideally based in Ahmedabad so a team can be built around this person in one office.

  • Experience of working with UK based teams Can build, lead and motivate the finance team.
