Finance Executive

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, with proficiency in handling accounts, GST, billing, and related tasks. As an integral part of our organization, the Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient financial operations.

Role & responsibilities:

Financial Record Management:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and registers.
• Ensure timely recording of financial transactions and reconciliation of accounts.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets as required.

GST Compliance:

• Handle GST-related tasks including registration, filing returns, and compliance with GST laws and regulations.
• Monitor GST payments, refunds, and input tax credits.
• Billing and Invoicing:
• Prepare and issue invoices to clients accurately and promptly.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and maintain records of receivables.

Financial Analysis:

• Assist in financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
• Identify areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.

Compliance and Audit:

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Implement recommendations from auditors to strengthen internal controls and processes.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

Manage accounts payable processes including vendor payments, reconciliation, and vendor relationship management.

Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers and vendors to optimise costs.

Requirements:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Proven experience of 3-5 years in accounting roles, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
