Finance controller

Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee plant-level finance operations including vendor payments, asset capitalization, procurement-linked financial control, and cash-flow monitoring.
• Validate and approve accounting entries processed by outsourced / third-party accounting partners.
• Implement and strengthen financial controls, documentation, and approval workflows for all outflows.
• Monitor cost control measures, plant expenses, consumption variances, and budget adherence.
• Ensure audit readiness, statutory compliance, and documentation discipline for plant transactions.
• Support management reporting, MIS validation, and expenditure tracking for the Greenfield facility.
• Coordinate closely with procurement, operations, admin, and project teams for financial governance.

Must-Have Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 7 to 8 years of experience in Finance / Accounts within a Manufacturing Unit (Plant or Factory accounting experience is essential).
• Education: M. Com with CA-Inter, CA, CMA
• Proven experience in controlling financial outflows vendor payments, purchase approvals, cost monitoring, and cash-flow discipline.
• Experience working with outsourced / third-party accounting partners, including review and validation of transactions.
• Strong knowledge of accounting controls, compliance, documentation, and audit processes, preferably in a startup or rapidly scaling environment.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate effectively in a fast-paced setup.
