Job Summary:

Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing Remote or on-site technical support, troubleshooting, for Solar PV Modules, Solar Inverters, and other Solar Power system components. The role involves handling Customer Complaints, conducting system diagnostics, training customers/installers, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Role & responsibilities

Troubleshooting & Technical Support:

• Provide remote and on-site technical assistance to customers and business partners.
• Diagnose and resolve Electrical, Mechanical, and Software-related issues in solar PV Modules, Inverters & Other Components.
• Conduct On-Site repairs, firmware updates, and hardware replacements as & when required.
• Analyze system performance using monitoring tools to identify the root causes.
• Conduct site audits and risk assessments to ensure system safety and reliability.
• Maintain & fill field service records for service-related activities.

2. Customer Support & Training:

• Educate customers, EPC contractors, and installers on Solar System Operation, Preventive & Corrective Maintenance, and its best practices.
• Conduct training sessions and webinars for business partners & their field technicians.
• Address customer queries efficiently & professionally, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

. Warranty & Claims Handling:

• Assess warranty claims and coordinate internally for replacement, repairs, or approvals.
• Prepare a document on failure analysis reports and root cause investigations.
• Ensure claims are processed efficiently and fairly in alignment with company policies.

4. Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare detailed service reports, incident reports, and technical documentation.
• Maintain logs of field issues and escalate recurring technical problems.
• Provide feedback to internal teams for product improvement.

Technical Skills & Requirements:

• Knowledge of DC and AC electrical systems, protection devices, and grounding.
• Experience using multimeters, clamp meters, IV curve tracers, and infrared thermography.
• Understanding of MPPT, grid synchronization, and power electronics.
• Familiarity with remote monitoring systems (SCADA, IoT, DelRemo, etc.).
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts
• Frequent travel in the assigned region for site visits and service support.
