Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Client Acquisition & Meetings:

  • Travel to meet potential clients (such as IT managers, procurement heads, or HR departments) to assess their outsourcing and IT product needs.
  • Present the companys IT solutions, including

    IT resource outsourcing, hardware/software product sales

    , and infrastructure services.
  • Conduct face-to-face sales presentations showcasing how SM2 Infotech’s services and products can enhance client IT operations.

Solution Selling:

  • Work closely with potential clients to understand their technical and business requirements.
  • Propose suitable solutions such as remote IT personnel, managed services, specialized IT project teams, or product-based offerings.
  • Customize proposals to ensure alignment with client objectives and technical needs.

Lead Management & Follow-Up:

  • Follow up on leads from the business development or inside sales teams and convert them into active opportunities.
  • Conduct cold visits and outreach to potential clients within the IT industry.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups and maintain relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Sales Target Achievement:

  • Close deals by negotiating pricing, terms, and service/product offerings to meet company targets.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets related to

    client acquisition, revenue generation, and IT product/service sales.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding, delivery, and post-sales support.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client queries and escalations.

Market Research & Competitor Analysis:

  • Stay updated on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities in IT services and product markets.
  • Identify new business sectors or niches where SM2 Infotech’s outsourcing and product solutions can be applied.

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work closely with the recruitment, technical, and project delivery teams to ensure client requirements are fulfilled effectively.
  • Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for product availability, pricing, and pre/post-sales support.
  • Provide feedback to management on client needs and potential improvements.

Reporting & Sales Pipeline Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, client meetings, and sales activities in CRM tools.
  • Provide regular reports and forecasts to management on opportunities and challenges.
  • Track pipeline progress and ensure timely follow-ups.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Marketing, or related field (certifications in IT sales/services are an advantage).
  • Experience:

    0–3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in

    IT services, staffing, or IT product sales.

  • Technical Knowledge:

    Basic understanding of

    IT hardware, networking, cloud, and software products

    , as well as IT resource outsourcing models (staff augmentation, managed services).
  • Communication Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical solutions clearly.
  • Negotiation Skills:

    Proven ability to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with senior decision-makers.
  • Sales-Oriented:

    Target-driven individual focused on achieving and exceeding sales goals.
