Job Title: Field Chemist Location: Vadodara, Gujarat (Field Travel Required) Department: Technical Services / Field Support Employment Type: Full-Time About Us Raybon Chemicals & Allied Products is a leader in providing water and wastewater treatment chemicals and tailored solutions. With ongoing technical advancements and a growing customer base, we are expanding our field operations to offer real-time, on-site technical support. We're looking for a Field Chemist who will part of our technical services team, assisting clients directly at their sites with water quality testing and chemical optimization. Job Overview The Field Chemist will be responsible for performing on-site water and wastewater testing, including Jar Testing, collecting and analyzing samples, supporting chemical dosing recommendations, and providing technical assistance to clients. This role involves frequent travel to industrial sites, treatment plants, and customer locations. Key Responsibilities Travel to client sites for water and wastewater analysis and technical support. Conduct Jar Tests and other field tests to assist in selecting and optimizing treatment chemicals. Collect, label, and transport water samples as per standard protocols Carry out laboratory testing at the in-house lab as required, including detailed water and wastewater analysis, sample verification, and method validation. Perform basic water analysis for parameters such as pH, TDS, TSS, Alkalinity, Hardness, Sulphates, Chlorides, etc. Record and document field test results accurately and report findings to the internal technical team and clients. Maintain sample register. Assist in chemical dosing trials and application evaluations at customer sites. Provide feedback to R&D and sales teams based on site observations and results. Ensure safe handling and transportation of chemical samples and equipment. Maintain field test kits, instruments, and ensure proper calibration. Desired Skills & Qualifications LACP or B.Sc in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field. Hands-on experience with Jar Testing and knowledge of coagulation-flocculation processes. Familiarity with water treatment chemicals and dosing practices. Ability to travel frequently and work independently in industrial environments. Strong observational and analytical skills with good documentation habits. Basic understanding of safety practices for handling chemicals in the field. Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers professionally. Driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within Gujarat and nearby regions.
