Job Profile: Farm Executive (Farming Management)

The Farm Executive will be responsible for overall farm management and operations, ensuring efficient agricultural practices, optimum crop productivity, resource management, and coordination of farm workers. The role involves planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of day-to-day farming activities.

Key Responsibilities - Farm Operations & Crop Management

  • Plan and manage crop cultivation activities (sowing, transplanting, irrigation, fertilization, harvesting)
  • Supervise daily farm operations and ensure timely execution of farming schedules
  • Monitor crop health, soil condition, and weather impact
  • Implement best agricultural practices to improve yield and quality

Labor & Resource Management

  • Supervise farm workers, laborers, and field staff
  • Allocate daily tasks and ensure proper utilization of manpower
  • Maintain discipline and productivity among farm workers
  • Manage farm inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, tools, and machinery

Irrigation & Equipment Handling

  • Ensure proper irrigation scheduling and water management
  • Oversee usage and basic maintenance of farm equipment and machinery
  • Coordinate repairs and servicing when required

Record Keeping & Reporting

  • Maintain records of:
  • Crop activities
  • Input usage (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides)
  • Labor attendance and work output
  • Yield and harvest data
  • Submit daily/weekly reports to management (WhatsApp or register-based)

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with organic / natural / sustainable farming guidelines (if applicable)
  • Follow safety norms for chemical handling and equipment use
  • Prevent wastage, theft, or misuse of farm resources

Coordination & Planning

  • Coordinate with management for crop planning, budgeting, and sales forecasting
  • Assist in seasonal planning, crop rotation, and yield improvement strategies
  • Support inspections, audits, and visits by officials or stakeholders

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Education: Diploma / Graduate in Agriculture (preferred) or practical farming experience
  • Experience: 1–3 years in farm management or agriculture operations (preferred)
  • Good knowledge of local crops, soil, and climatic conditions
  • Ability to manage labor and field operations independently
  • Basic knowledge of mobile reporting (WhatsApp, photos, updates)

  • Farm Manager / Project Head / Management
