Company Description The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Thiruvananthapuram, established in 2008, is designated as an 'Institute of National Importance' by the Government of India's Ministry of Education. It is dedicated to bridging the gap between basic sciences' research and teaching at the undergraduate level. IISER Thiruvananthapuram offers BS-MS dual degrees and Ph.D. degrees in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and interdisciplinary areas. The campus is located in Vithura, set against the scenic backdrop of the Ponmudi hills, creating an ideal environment for research and education. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Thiruvananthapuram for a PhD Student in the Biomaterials Group. The PhD Student will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research in the field of biomaterials, including experimental design, data collection, and analysis. Tasks will include literature review, laboratory work, and writing research papers for publication. Collaboration with other research groups, attending academic conferences, and presenting findings will also be part of the role. Qualifications Strong background in Biomaterials, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields Experience in experimental design, data collection, and analysis Proficiency with laboratory techniques and equipment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and independently Experience in academic writing and publishing research papers Master's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience along with JRF from CSIR or DBT Commitment to full-time, on-site research work in Thiruvananthapuram Show more Show less
