Factory Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee daily factory operations, including extrusion, mixing, cooling, cutting, and finishing of WPC profiles
• Plan and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
• Ensure production targets, yield, and efficiency are achieved
• Monitor raw material usage, waste levels, and production losses
• Coordinate with planning, sales, and logistics teams to meet delivery commitments
• Ensure WPC profiles meet required *technical specifications and quality standards*
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods
• Handle customer complaints related to product quality and initiate corrective actions
• Maintain consistency in color, dimensions, surface finish, and mechanical properties
• Supervise shift supervisors, machine operators, technicians, and helpers
• Assign daily tasks and shifts to production staff
• Train employees on machine operation, process control, safety, and quality standards
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of extrusion lines, mixers, crushers, calibrators, and auxiliary equipment
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities
• Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors
• Minimize downtime and improve machine efficiency
• Enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals, additives, and raw materials
• Conduct safety briefings and inspections regularly
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and factory regulations
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, additives, packaging, and finished goods
• Control production costs, energy consumption, and manpower expenses
• Prepare daily production and consumption reports
• Support management in budgeting and cost-reduction initiatives
• Prepare and submit daily production reports, downtime reports, and quality summaries
• Analyze production data and suggest process improvements
• Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and production records

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in wood plastic composite (WPC), plastic extrusion, PVC, or polymer manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of WPC formulations, extrusion processes, and tooling
• Experience managing factory operations and production teams
