Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the grocery packing unit (raw material receipt to finished goods dispatch).
Use his expertise to ensure the optimum capacity utilisation of the machines
Plan and execute production schedules to meet business requirements. He will act like a interface between the DC and stores to ensure timely supplies to customers
Manage manpower deployment (permanent & contract workforce) with focus on productivity and discipline.
Ensure quality control as per food safety standards and customer requirements.
Monitor machine maintenance, safety protocols, and workplace hygiene.
Drive cost control initiatives (material usage, wastage reduction, energy efficiency).
Ensure compliance with Factory Act, labour laws, and food safety norms (FSSAI, HACCP, etc.).
Liaison with HR, Quality, Maintenance, IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and Compliance teams for smooth functioning.
Prepare and analyze MIS reports on production, efficiency, and costs.
Lead and develop shop-floor supervisors and workers through training and engagement.
