Factory Business Development

Role Overview: As a Factory Business Development professional at SKF in Ahmedabad, your main responsibility will be to execute new business development activities at the factory level. You will play a crucial role in bringing the voice of the market to the factory and influencing business decisions through market insights. Key Responsibilities: - Develop new business opportunities for the factory in collaboration with the Product Line Portfolio Manager & Sales team. - Collaborate closely with the India Sales Team to understand industry trends, identify new opportunities, and position SKF-India as a potential supplier. - Serve as the interface between customer requirements and manufacturing processes. - Initiate Business Gate meetings for all opportunities with factories and drive them with respective Business Units until the business is realized. - Represent the organization in all ETO/Projects meetings and be a key member of New Projects in Cross-functional Teams. - Conduct feasibility studies and cost calculations in consultation with engineering & controlling to determine the cost level and investment requirements of business opportunities. Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure timely submission of samples. - Monitor and track all Product Enquiries across segments, generate and analyze the Hit rate across Business Units. - Develop Management Information System (MIS) on new business won, RFQs, capacity utilization, product line wise spare capacity, etc. - Drive export sales and provide product introduction and delivery support in ERP systems like Prodmast, DOH, COH, and Citrix. - Collaborate with Factory Supply Chain to understand current and future free capacity and contribute to strategic planning for the future. - Facilitate communication between Channels, segments, and product divisions (factories) regarding emerging technical trends and customer needs.
