This position will be responsible for selling solar energy solutions to large power consumers through the open access mechanism, allowing them to buy electricity directly from us. This role involves identifying potential clients, presenting customized solutions, negotiating contracts, and managing the sales process from lead generation to project completion.
Identifying and qualifying potential clients interested in open access solar solutions through various channels, including networking, referrals, and cold calling.
Conducting energy needs assessments, presenting customized solar solutions, and explaining the benefits of open access solar, including cost savings and environmental impact.
Preparing and presenting sales proposals, negotiating contracts and pricing, and coordinating site evaluations and measurements.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service throughout the sales process, and ensuring smooth project execution with the installation team.
Staying up to date on industry trends, regulations, and new technologies related to open access solar, and analysing market trends to identify new business opportunities.
Working towards achieving and exceeding assigned sales targets and contributing to the overall sales growth of the company.
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the renewable energy or solar industry.
Strong understanding of solar energy systems, open access mechanisms, and relevant regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to understand customer needs and tailor solutions to meet their specific requirements.
Ability to identify and resolve issues related to project implementation and customer concerns.
Ability to analyse market trends and identify new business opportunities.
Ability to manage multiple leads and projects simultaneously and maintain accurate records of sales activities.
Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, marketing, or engineering, is often preferred.
