This position will manage procurement, logistics, vendor development, and inventory operations to support project execution and organizational goals. The Manager–SCM will ensure timely sourcing of materials, optimize costs, maintain healthy vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. This position will also be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams and using ERP tools for effective SCM planning and tracking.

Tasks

• Responsible for procurement of materials, components, and services for EPC and O&M projects
• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers and vendors for timely and cost-effective sourcing
• Negotiate purchase terms and ensure adherence to contractual obligations
• Coordinate with engineering, project, and finance teams to plan material requirements based on project schedules
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with applicable GST, customs duty, and other statutory norms
• Manage logistics and transportation of materials to various sites and warehouses
• Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory management
• Implement and improve SOPs for procurement, logistics, and vendor management
• Support import/export documentation and coordination with customs and freight agents
• Track purchase orders, delivery timelines, and quality compliance
• Maintain and update data in ERP systems for full supply chain visibility
• Build relationships with vendors to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness
• Support cost-reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing, long-term rate contracts, and volume negotiations
• Prepare and present SCM reports, MIS, and KPIs to management regularly

Desired Candidate Profile

• 8 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics functions
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control
• Experience in EPC, solar, infrastructure, or manufacturing sectors preferred
• Familiarity with GST regulations, customs clearance, and import documentation
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor relationship skills
• Proficiency in ERP software (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics or equivalent)
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and process orientation
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Commerce
• MBA or PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Operations preferred
