Job Description: Design & Development of Solar PV & Solar Hybrid systems. Devise test methods for system evaluation, building prototypes and conducting experiments. Key Responsibilities of Electrical Quality Engineer for Project site. Quality Assurance & Control: Implement and oversee QA/QC plans and ITPs for all electrical works at the site. Conduct inspections and witness tests during installation of electrical components like solar modules, inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, LV/MV panels, and cables. Verify adherence to electrical drawings, specifications, and codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, IS). Monitor the quality of electrical terminations, cable laying, glanding, and earthing. Material Inspection & Verification: Inspect incoming electrical materials for conformity with approved specifications and material submittals. Coordinate with third-party testing agencies for cable, transformer, and equipment testing as required. Testing & Commissioning Support: Review and verify electrical testing procedures and results (insulation resistance, continuity, HV testing, grounding resistance, etc.). Support the commissioning team to ensure quality aspects are covered before system energization. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, and NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports). Prepare and submit daily and weekly quality reports to project stakeholders. Ensure traceability and documentation of electrical work as per project quality system. Coordination: Liaise with site engineers, EPC contractors, and subcontractors to ensure all work is done as per quality requirements. Interface with consultants, clients, and auditors during site inspections and audits.
