Role Summary

end-to-end supply chain, logistics, warehousing, procurement, and order fulfillment

Key Objectives (Outcome Ownership)

1) P&L Ownership (Operations + Supply)

• Own logistics and supply chain budgets; deliver targets on

  Gross Margin, fulfillment cost, and working capital

  .
• Lead negotiation, onboarding, performance reviews for

  logistics partners + 3PLs

  within

  TAT and budget

  .
• Plan and manage

  finished goods + raw material procurement

  to meet demand while improving

  inventory turns

  .
• Hire, manage, and develop

  Operations + Procurement

  teams.

Success metrics (examples):

2) Streamline & Expedite Order Fulfillment (All Channels)

• Be accountable for

  order processing + fulfillment

  across Website/Marketplaces/Other channels.
• Drive high inventory accuracy and reporting discipline.
  
• Manage vendor dispatches + inbound operations:

  GRN, QC, put-away

  , discrepancy closure.
• Maintain strong service levels:

  TAT, fill rate, cancellation rate, RTO (if COD), customer promise adherence

  .

Success metrics:

3) Expand Warehousing Strategy (Multi-city / Regional)

• Build and execute a plan to fulfill a defined % of orders from

  non-Chennai warehouses

  .
• Implement systems + SOPs enabling multi-warehouse fulfillment (allocation logic, inter-warehouse transfers, stock norms).
  
• Set up a scalable network of

  regional warehouses / 3PL DCs

  .
• Reduce lead time for out-of-Chennai orders while protecting inventory health.
  

Success metrics:

4) Drive Logistics Cost Efficiency (Channel-focus)

• Lead cost reduction projects across logistics, with special focus on top 2 sales channels.
  
• Optimize Website outward logistics (courier mix, weight slabs, packaging, zone strategy).
  
• Optimize marketplace logistics (Amazon/others) so costs stay within target.
  

Success metrics:

Core Responsibilities (What you’ll do)

1. Supply Chain Optimization:

   Own end-to-end flow from procurement to last-mile delivery; build a scalable operating model.

2. Inventory Management:

   Forecast-linked planning, stock norms, replenishment cycles, aging control, liquidation strategy.

3. Partner Management:

   Strong SLAs with suppliers, logistics partners, and 3PLs; compliance, billing, dispute closure.

4. Process + Tech Integration:

   Use data/analytics and modern tools (WMS/OMS/ERP) to improve accuracy and speed.

5. Quality Assurance Collaboration:

   Ensure speed doesn’t compromise QC standards; reduce damages/returns.

6. Cost Control:

   Track, audit, and reduce logistics + warehousing + procurement inefficiencies.

7. Team Leadership:

   Build, coach, and run a high-performance ops/procurement organization.

8. Risk & Compliance:

   Identify supply risks early (vendor dependency, lead times, seasonality) and mitigate.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in

  Operations / Supply Chain / Logistics

  , with 2+ years leading teams.
• Strong exposure to

  warehousing, 3PL management, marketplace operations, and supply planning

  .
• Excellent analytical skills; proven ability to drive decisions using dashboards and metrics.
  
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management.
  
• Startup/high-growth experience is a plus.
  

What “Good” Looks Like in 6–12 Months

• Stable OTIF and marketplace scorecards, improved inventory accuracy, lower stockouts.
  
• Measurable reduction in logistics cost/order and better zone-wise delivery promise adherence.
  
• Multi-warehouse rollout live with clear SOPs, allocation flows, and clean reconciliation.
  
• A capable ops/procurement team with clear ownership and performance rhythm (weekly/monthly reviews).
