EXECUTIVE - OPERATIONS (Waste Recycling Plant)

Location: Kanjurmarg, Mumbai

Department: Operations

Reports to: Plant Manager / Senior Manager – Operations

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plant Operations

• Supervise daily operations of the RDF shredding plant including pre-sorting, shredding, and RDF output.
• Ensure target processing volumes and quality parameters are achieved consistently.
• Monitor the performance and efficiency of shredders, conveyors, feeders, and associated equipment.
• Coordinate with upstream (Trommel/segregation) and downstream (storage/disposal) teams for smooth workflow.

2. Maintenance Coordination

• Ensure timely preventive and breakdown maintenance of RDF plant equipment.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and spare parts inventory.
• Maintain downtime logs and track equipment performance.

3. Manpower Management

• Supervise and monitor operators, helpers, and contract labourers working in the RDF section.
• Prepare shift rosters and ensure adequate manpower availability.
• Train workers on operational procedures, safety, and machine handling.

4. Safety and Compliance

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure usage of PPE by all workers.
• Conduct periodic safety audits and toolbox talks.
• Ensure adherence to pollution control norms and internal SOPs.

5. Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain daily MIS on RDF production, machine run hours, fuel consumption, manpower, and breakdowns.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports for review by management.
• Coordinate with the compliance/admin team for documentation, billing inputs, and inspections.

6. Coordination and Improvements

• Liaise with other plant units for coordinated production.
• Identify process bottlenecks and suggest operational improvements.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and stakeholder visits.

Qualifications & Skills:

• B.E./ B. Tech in Mechanical
• 3-4 years of experience in plant operations (preferably in waste processing or heavy industrial operations.
