Role Overview:

The New Product Formulation Executive will be responsible for developing customized nutraceutical and functional food formulations based on client requirements, market trends, and regulatory frameworks. The role involves hands-on formulation work, ingredient sourcing, documentation, and close coordination with production, quality, and marketing teams to bring innovative health products from concept to commercialization. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with a strong background in food science, nutrition, or pharmaceutical formulation, and a passion for creating differentiated, market-ready nutraceutical products.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development & Formulation

• Develop new formulations for nutraceutical and functional food products (tablets, capsules, powders, gummies, syrups, effervescent tablets, etc.)

• Customize formulations based on customer briefs, market demand, or new ingredient trends. • Work with suppliers to evaluate and source active ingredients, excipients, and delivery systems.

• Ensure formulation stability, compatibility, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and procurement for pilot batches, scaling up, and validation.

• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to provide technical support for customer presentations and product concepts.

• Prepare product dossiers, specifications, and supporting documents for client approvals.

• Support client discussions by translating technical formulations into commercial benefits

Market & Regulatory Awareness

• Stay updated on FSSAI, Ayush, and nutraceutical guidelines related to product composition, claims, and labelling.

• Monitor global trends in nutraceutical ingredients, delivery formats, and health benefit areas.

• Evaluate the feasibility of introducing new dosage forms or innovative delivery technologies.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

Criteria Requirement

Education M.Sc. / M.Tech in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or allied disciplines.

Experience 2–5 years of experience in product formulation or R&D within nutraceuticals, functional foods, or dietary supplements.

Technical Expertise Strong understanding of formulation science, ingredient interactions, and dosage form technologies.

Regulatory Knowledge Familiarity with FSSAI regulations, labeling standards, and ingredient compliance.

Analytical Skills Ability to interpret market needs into formulation opportunities.

Software Skills Proficiency in MS Office; experience with formulation or ERP tools is an advantage.

Personal Traits Creative, detail-oriented, technically sound, proactive, and able to work cross-functionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹37,500.00 - ₹58,400.00 per month
