We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced *Senior Linux System Administrator with 6-8 years of dedicated experience to join our core infrastructure team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the advanced deployment, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our diverse *nix server environments. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the security, stability, scalability, and high availability of our systems, leveraging deep technical expertise, automation, and proactive monitoring.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
6-8 years of progressive experience as a Linux System Administrator, demonstrating increasing
levels of responsibility and technical depth.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., RHCE, Linux Professional Institute LPIC-2/LPIC-3,
CompTIA Linux+) are highly desired.
Proven experience in leading technical projects and mentoring junior team members.
Ability to work in an on-call capacity to handle incidents and ensure system uptime.
Responsibilities:
System Lifecycle Management:
Lead the deployment, configuration, and advanced maintenance of enterprise-grade Linux
servers (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE, and other *nix
derivatives as applicable).
Manage comprehensive system updates, patching strategies, and major OS upgrades to
ensure stability, security, and compliance.
Proactively optimize system performance through advanced tuning, efficient resource
allocation, and continuous monitoring.
Storage & High Availability:
Architect, implement, and manage complex storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and
LVM-based setups, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
Ensure robust system scalability and high availability using advanced clustering technologies
(e.g., Pacemaker, Corosync, HAProxy) and load balancing solutions.
Security & Compliance:
Implement and maintain stringent security best practices, including advanced firewall rules
(iptables/firewalld), SELinux, AppArmor, and vulnerability remediation.
Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration test remediation, and apply
necessary security patches.
Design and manage Identity & Access Management (IAM), Role-Based Access Control
(RBAC), and adhere to least privilege principles across *nix environments.
Ensure strict compliance with industry security standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS
benchmarks) and internal security policies.
Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Automation:
Diagnose and resolve complex system, network, and performance issues across distributed *nix infrastructures.
Implement and optimize system health monitoring using tools like Nagios, Zabbix,
Prometheus, and centralized logging solutions (e.g., ELK Stack, Splunk).
Drive automation initiatives using scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl) and
configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack) for server provisioning,
configuration management, and operational tasks.
Leadership & Documentation:
Guide, mentor, and technically lead junior Linux / Middleware administrators, fostering their
growth and expertise.
Lead technical projects, including significant server migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and
cloud adoption initiatives.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of best practices, operational
procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
