Job Title: Sales Executive – B2B Sales

Department: Sales & Channel Development
Reporting To: Area Sales Manager (ASM)
Location: Field Operations (Area Level)

Job Description (JD):

The Sales Executive is responsible for executing the franchisee-driven solar pump sales model at the area level. This role requires a combination of channel development, field sales execution, and coordination between key stakeholders — including franchisees, farmers, and back-office teams.

The Sales Executive will visit and appoint Strategic Retail Outlets (SROs), engage with farmers, conduct live demos, and generate direct orders in assigned villages. The position also involves developing franchisees, aligning sales with government subsidy schemes, ensuring lead-to-order conversion, and maintaining portal readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit, appoint, and manage Strategic Retail Outlets (SROs) in the assigned area.
  • Develop and manage 10–15 franchisees to ensure consistent order generation, lead tracking, and reporting to the ASM.
  • Conduct 3–4 village visits daily to meet farmers and identify sales opportunities.
  • Generate awareness about solar pumps, subsidy schemes, product benefits, and financing options.
  • Organize demos, roadshows, and farmer meetings using demo kits and branding materials.
  • Record leads, follow-ups, and farmer feedback digitally (Google Forms/Sheets).
  • Ensure farmers complete eligibility checks and documentation before portal opening.
  • Support franchisees by generating leads and routing customer inquiries.
  • Assist in resolving farmers’ issues during portal cycles.
  • Participate in referral campaigns and gather feedback post-installation.
  • Submit daily activity reports (visits, leads, demos, conversions) to ASM.

Competency Expectations:

  • Customer Orientation: Strong communication and rapport-building with farmers.
  • Field Execution: Comfortable with extensive rural travel and daily field visits.
  • Product Knowledge: Able to explain product benefits, ROI, and subsidy process clearly.
  • Digital Readiness: Basic knowledge of mobile apps and Google Sheets/Forms for lead entry.
  • Result Orientation: Target-driven, focused on lead conversion and sales performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of resolving farmer queries and escalating issues effectively.
