Job Title: Executive (Accounts and Costing)

Location: Initial remote ( candidate must be located in Chennai )

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to ₹40,000 per month

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant with solid expertise in costing and construction finance, to work on accounting functions for UK-based clients in the construction domain. The role requires hands-on project costing experience, financial control, and compliance management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions for UK-based construction clients.

Prepare and maintain project-wise cost sheets, budgets, and variance reports.

Track and monitor project costs including labour, subcontractor payments, materials, and overheads.

Analyse cost deviations, provide insights, and recommend cost-optimisation measures.

Support financial reporting, MIS preparation, and client deliverables on a timely basis.

Liaise with project managers, procurement, and UK finance teams to validate cost data.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation, and statutory requirements relevant to the role.

Assist in audits and ensure accuracy of financial documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce (CA Inter/ICWA preferred).

Minimum 5 years of core experience in costing and accounting within the construction industry.

Prior experience working with international/UK-based clients will be an added advantage.

Strong proficiency in Tally/ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.

Solid understanding of construction project accounting, costing principles, and financial reporting.

Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
