Scope of job /Activities handled

  • Business Analysts supports the business units in setting strategy, decision making, provides insights and options that drive enhanced value creation, helps the business to achieve targets through relevant and timely monitoring of results.

  • Finance Responsibilities

  • Adherence to Group Reporting requirements as per published calendar.
  • Identify loss makers / underperforming SBU's and devising actions to bring at minimum +10%.
  • Track deliverables to achieve revenue and LC budgets (average or phased one).
  • Monthly revenue and expense comments and commentary for SEAP.
  • Monitor unbilled and WIP from booking to invoicing to collection.
  • Validation of UBR and WIP on monthly basis and sign off.
  • Validation and assessment of adequacy of business provisions and adjusting to actual spend
  • Forecast monitoring and maintaining accuracy against actual delivered
  • Facilitate budget completion exercise
  • Control on various matrices allocation - HAM, AAM (Asset), AAM (Area) etc.
  • Open PR and BOSS OM orders Monitoring
  • Capex budgeting and spend monitoring against approved budget and capex document
  • Implementation of pricing excellence initiative as per group guidelines
  • Credit note monitoring as per guidance note
  • Project accounting for high value contracts
  • Prepare and submit monthly dashboard
  • Business Partner Support:

  • Part of the business unit management team contributing to strategy and decision making, whilst being a constructive challenger
  • Provide strategic input and financial support to commercial and operating issues (pricing, etc.), track and report financial information and identify activities which are below the required performance level and bring changes to improve them.
  • Support the on-going review and maintenance of an adequate operational control environment over financial items with the SBU managers e.g. over site rental costs; customer credits etc.
  • Assist the management with Management of change requirements with necessary planning
  • Support the Business team / Finance Team for completion of unresolved queries
  • Gather all inputs from commercial and technical departments and external references
  • Review / challenge business case, present trade-offs and rank alternatives
  • Support senior management to take the appropriate decision; and
  • Identify ways to track actual results and carry out ex post analysis and propose recommendations
  • Finance Support to Bid Management
  • Execute profitability analysis of SGS offers and verify alignment with forecast; and
  • Negotiation with external stakeholders (i.e. Suppliers and Clients)
  • Support with ad-hoc analysis to develop revenues, margins and return on investments.
  • Support business to identify, analyse, validate and implement remedy actions
  • Adopt, at all times, a safe behavior by exercising due regard for the health and safety of SGS employees and clients, in line with SGS policies and procedures
  • Comply, at all times, with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct
