We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Executive Vice President (EVP) to collaborate closely with the executive leadership team of our 30-member software company as we enter the next phase of growth and success. Your role will be dedicated to spearheading business development efforts and managing key relationships crucial to the organization's growth and prosperity. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in business development, strategic partnership management, and client relationship management within the software industry. As the EVP, you will lead the sales team, create, expand, and manage strategic partnerships, identify and capitalize on potential new markets and products, discover new business opportunities for sustainable growth, and provide strategic guidance and direction to the executive team and other departments. You will act as a right-hand person to the CEO, contributing significantly to the overall success and long-term growth of the organization. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: - Work closely with the CEO and executive team to develop and articulate a clear vision and strategy for the organization, aligning technical capabilities with business goals. - Lead and inspire a cross-functional team to effectively execute the strategic vision. - Conduct research, prepare briefs, and offer recommendations on key business decisions. Sales and Marketing: - Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to promote our products and services, achieving revenue and profitability targets. - Provide leadership and direction to the sales team, setting clear objectives to achieve revenue and market share goals. - Identify sales opportunities and mentor the sales team to nurture potential leads. - Implement sales processes, performance targets, KPIs, and metrics to enhance sales effectiveness. - Represent the organization at events, with customers, and sales prospects, assisting in preparing executive-level communications. - Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales and business development team. Business Development: - Create and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion. - Monitor the market and competitive landscape to identify new products, markets, and geographies for market share and revenue growth. - Establish strategic partnerships with stakeholders to enhance market presence. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of partnership agreements. - Develop marketing campaigns and promotional activities to drive brand awareness and market penetration. - Promote and differentiate our offerings in the market. Relationship Management and Customer Focus: - Champion a customer-centric approach and ensure customer success. - Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty. - Lead efforts to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions to meet those needs. - Lead contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms for the organization. Technical Proficiency: - Possess a strong technical background with a deep understanding of SaaS applications. - Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation. Team Leadership and Development: - Create a positive and inclusive organizational culture that encourages innovation and collaboration. - Recruit, develop, and retain top talent to meet business objectives. - Foster a collaborative working environment and support team-building activities. Project Management: - Oversee key projects from initiation to completion, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success. Data Analysis and Reporting: - Analyze data and report regularly to senior management on performance, sales updates, business development initiatives, and market trends. - Present findings to the executive team and make strategic recommendations. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. - Proven experience in business development, relationship management, and sales leadership in the technology or software industry. - Strong organizational and project management skills. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and presentation skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. - High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive information.
