Event Manager

As an Event Planner at our organization, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events such as conferences, seminars, and formal functions. Your role will involve ensuring that all event aspects align with our organizational goals and standards while maintaining a high level of professionalism throughout. - Adhere to protocol and etiquette standards, particularly in diplomatic or formal settings. - Implement best practices to uphold a professional environment during all events. - Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. - Track expenses and reconcile budgets post-event. - Oversee logistics including venue selection, transportation, accommodations, catering, and audiovisual needs. - Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers. - Manage event staff and volunteers, providing clear instructions, support, and delegating tasks effectively to ensure smooth event operations. - Be the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating, addressing inquiries, and providing updates throughout the planning process. - Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement. - Prepare comprehensive reports for review post-event. To qualify for this role, you should: - Hold a Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field. - Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in event planning or related fields. - Demonstrate a proven track record of managing and executing successful events. - Possess strong skills in stakeholder communication, client servicing, conflict resolution, and professional email and verbal communication. - Optional but beneficial skills include public speaking and presentation abilities.
