Description
As an Event Manager, your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the Account Manager and central community to develop and execute plans that align with their objectives while staying within the allocated budget. You will also be tasked with nurturing relationships with students, wardens, caretakers, and other stakeholders to enhance residents' experiences and increase the visibility of community events. Key Responsibilities: - Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership, negotiate contracts, and establish joint marketing strategies. - Coordinate all aspects of event production, such as vendor management, venue selection, decor, audio/visual, catering, transportation, and security. - Manage on-site event operations to ensure a successful and memorable experience for all guests. - Address any issues that may arise during the event planning process or on the day of the event. - Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure that each event remains innovative and cutting-edge. - Cultivate positive relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable treatment and pricing. - Proactively seek ways to enhance event planning processes and provide recommendations to senior management. - Drive app downloads and increase social media followers to enhance community engagement. - Collect feedback from students during events to continually improve the overall experience. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in event management or related field. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. - Ability to troubleshoot and think on your feet. - Knowledge of industry trends and best practices. - Proficiency in negotiating contracts and managing budgets.
